Lemme tell you abit about it..
This book is science fiction mind you, so you'll have to have a knack for imagination elsewise, it'll be hyper-hard for you to comprehend...
Book 1 : Prelude to the Dune Series, The Butlerian Jihad
Year 3000 AD
You must be wondering why on earth there is the word Jihad in it... Is it something to do with Muslims?
Nopez....
Jihad, means "Holy War" when translated..
Its a war between the entire human race against the robots' artifical intelligence...
What I learnt from this book :
There are some things that human beings will NEVER be able to replicate, fortunately (or unfortunately), and those are
1) Love
2) Compassion
3) Unpredicatability
4) Soul
5) Greed
Its a great book! I'll give it 4.2/5 stars...
Incidentally, no book I read has given me satisfaction to give a 5 star rating...
The closest was Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban which I gave a 4.6 rating
I'm still reading the other book... so yeah....
ANYWAYZ, Krispy Kreme is not coming to Singapore...

I have lots of fears.
But if there is one fear that I hate most, its the fear of being looked down by people.
That is amongst my greatest fears...
That explains many of my actions I do and how I behave.
I'm scared of people who talk behind my back
I'm scared of people whom I have let down
I'm scared of people who spread rumours about me
I'm scared of people who think that I am lesser then them
in fact, many of these people whom I have encountered that are like this are my mortal archenemies...
bah.
I dont have much enemies anywayz... I can hardly hurt a.... fly.
Today is our 2nd anniversary! wee~~!!
but. I didnt meet him. I DID NOT MEET HIM!!!!
or should I rephrase it more accurately. I could not!
I'm starting to think about whether my Saturday band practice and training sessions are worth it.
ARRGH.
ITS TAKING TOO MUCH OF MY TIME!!!
sigh.... dear God. If YOU KNOW THE AMOUNT OF SACRIFICE I'M MAKING!!!!!
... then I sincerely hope that You make sure that this sacrifice is worth it.
I'm quite sick of my life.

Another hamster ran away from home.
I think I'm going to run away from these mortal shackles too.
I hate my life.

Intelligent Design
I'm going to be mocked for the rest of my poly days... sobz.... wahahaha
Thanks to a slip of my tongue while trying to explain a code from my Metrosexual's Book of Body Ethics..
(incidentally, it is code #44-A, under subsection 1.1.3)

We were talking today, and we stumbled upon blogging, and inevitably, blog-whore, XiaXue.
Okay. Now. Boys and girls, this is a question worth pondering.
1) Where does XiaXue get all her money from to be living in the lap of such luxery?
it came to a conclusion (*grins smugly) that she gets her stuff from loyal and faithful blog fanatics who worship her like a goddess.
well of course, who worships herself.

Now, what is an intelligent design?

- The internet is a design or a system constructed by a being(s) with intellect
- The magnificent Great Wall of China was constructed by a being(s) with intellect
2) The universe is a design, a structure and a system that is intelligent.
why?
Nature has laws. Every living thing must die. Water has a cycle, everything physical returns back to the earth. All living things must replenish energy.
There is sun, there is moon. Not a coincidence that we dont live in part-darkness.
The law of physics and chemistry is built upon Mathematics (an intelligent system)
3) Thus, the universe, an intelligent design, structure and sytem must have been designed by an intelligent creater.
how?
The universe has a cosmic radiation that was discovered in the late 1900s, this phenomenal discovery shows that the universe has an age. And the radiation was what was left of a cataclysmic explosion which expanded the universe to what it is today. That explosion is called the Big Bang.
That point of time, creation was created.
Intelligent? Yes.
Thus, there MUST be a designer.
Who's the designer?
Genesis 1
1. IN THE BEGINNING, God created the heavens and the earth.
Note : The bible didnt say sky, the bible didnt say air. The bible said the Heavens, which means every single cosmic object outside the earth as well.

Note : Without form, and void, and darkness, and deep. Doesnt that sound like outer space without any systems? The waters could mean the cosmic material that was like a "sea" of volatile substances that scientist belived precluded Big Bang

Note : THe bible didnt say "let there be a sun". It said, let there be "light" which could mean millions of stars, galaxies, supernovas etc.
4. And God divided the light from the darkness.

Pointless Activity
We did an unusual activity in church last Sunday...
I can't really tell if it was a good idea or a bad idea, but nevertheless, it was a pretty smart innovation for people to tell each other stuffs that they don't normally will have the courage to tell... either that or they couldn't be bothered.
Well, the activity is called "peer appraisal", where everybody will go up to the front and have to say out 1 thing they are good at and 1 thing they are bad at. The audience will have a small sheet of paper for each person, and they will have to write 1 thing good and 1 thing bad about the person that is not what the person said...
so, this is what I got.... sigh...
Good Points :
- Nice guy!! =D ("...")
- Good at games ("I guess I might be slightly better then average, but I still don't think I'm good)
- Can play piano well
- Talented musician
- Funny (" =X ")
- Friendly
- Creative
- Good looking ("wth? wth??!! haha... )
- Trendy (" yaay! i'm trendy... ")
- Loves his friends
Author's Note : There are actually about 25-30 responses. Problem is that 90% of them said the same stuffs.... so there isnt much to write...

- Bad Temper ("written by Nicholas Hui - duh")
- Have lotsa mood swings
- Not open towards "suanning" ("I maintain my stand towards that attitude. I think its degradary and absolutely unneccessary")
Author's Note : Again, 90% of the results were the same (mood swing).
can't help it if I have lots of mood swings can I?
And for Nicholas Hui, two words for you. Screw off. You backstabber.
hmm.... frankly, I dont think that activity was beneficial to anybody anywayz.
I dunno why I'm quite irriated when I look at the comments. -_-

The Name of an Angel

Once upon a time there was a child ready to be born. So one day it asks God, "They tell me you are sending me to earth tomorrow but how am I going to live there being so small and helpless?"
God replied, "Among the many angels, I chose one just for you. She will be waiting for you and will take good care of you".
"But tell me, here in heaven, I don't do anything else but smile and sing, that's enough for me to be happy."

I'm starting to really REALLY dislike my internet service provider...
one moment, it can be providing a normalcy of 512 kbps (though it should be at 2000 kbps), and the next thing you know, it has dropped to a freaky 33 kbps...
and if that is not bad enough, as I am typing this, my internet is slowing down to a fantastic byte size bandwidth... hmm... lemme see.... omg! 30 bytes/s ...
that is like 1983 lah!! HEY!!! STARHUB!!! WAKE UP!!!
gnaah... all my servers I off, and yet my bandwidth is still so freaking little...
hmm.... anywayz... I watched the Chronicles of Narnia recently...
its a fantastic show... super fantastic show...
highly recommended, with an exception of going to Empress Place Cinema...
It summarized the book quite well, only thing is that the witch fights in a funny stiff manner (*i dont' really blame her, coz she's the "Ice Queen" after all), and that she isn't that powerful as what she is supposed to really be...
jeez...
I'm starting to run out of ideas on what I should post on my blog after my 1000th+ entries..... hmm... I shall post more pictures =D

Porn On My Blog *boing boing*
Yikes.. 1st porn on my blog...
or should I call it soft porn....
I just find it hilarous that Paris Hilton would pose for Carl's Jr.... Its ridiculous! hahaha....
Okayz... EOF paper today was a screw up....
I didnt manage to proudly balance my balance sheet, like I used to be able to (*hehe*), and I gave away 10 marks to questions that I didnt know could come out in a paper like that...

Anywayz, dear and I went to Carl's Junior today, after a nerve-wrecking session of rendering awful adobe premier files....
He wore this super duper nice jacket, that looked like it cost a bomb...
haha
I think his fashion sense is better then mine... I'm all streetwear...
Carl's Junior is nice =)
Their burgers are nice... but their cheesy beef fries taste a bit too indian for my liking... maybe they should change the sauce to somewhat more japanese... =X
And I think I'll change my side order to huge wedges of fries next time...

I'm a Poplar Tree. Hooray.
OMG... I went to Flora's Blog, and look what I saw....
Since I'm born in the month of May, my birth-tree is :

Hey!! We've just passed Christmas, and I wasn't selected to get hung on the big tree in Takashimaya. *gives a pouty look*. hmph.. but seriously, I don't think I look exceptional either.

Ever since what happened last December, I've doubted my calibre.
iv. Great Animosity
Hmm... I doubt I really hate anyone... ok. 1 or 2 people, but that won't count as GREAT ANIMOSITY... unless I have a killer sworn to rip my fragile head from my shoulders.... *looks around*

I Dub Thee "The Year of Suicidal Thoughts"
Haha.. I'm at my friend's house now walking past the borders of 2005 into 2006....
its been an ultra long year, full of ups, downs, fronts and backs..... Learnt alot of stuffs, and yet lost alot of stuff as well...
Well then, like all good bloggers, I shall write down my new year's resolution, and you can mock me if I am unable to fufill them...
ok... *clears throat very loudly*
I, Andrew Hui, hereby resolve to do the following in the year 2006...
1) Improve my GPA score to somewhere above 3.
2) Complete and compile my portfolio
3) Stop playing so much games and start getting back to the gym
4) Get closer with God.
5) Be faithful to the ones that I love around me.
6) Get rid of those freaking blemishes, to a greater, visible extent. (I always make this resolution... somehow, it works... so I shall continue this)
7) Re-tune my fashion sense
8) Get my abs. (I'm not joking)
9) Give 2 people a meaningful hug every week
10) Stop thinking of committing suicide so often....

come to think of it, I've been thinking of committing suicide far too often for my good last year....
I dub thee 2005, the year of suicidal thoughts....
I enter this year with alot of stress as well.... HEARD THAT 2006???!! I enter YOU with alot of stress!!!
Projects that are incomplete, inconclusive, without a beacon of light at the end of the tunnel... Work that require completion within a few hours of what I'm writing down now, still uncompleted...
Studying and revision that desperately call out to me, though I ignore their pleading cries...
It is during these times when I say... LIFE IS GOOD.
What is Life without stress?
Everybody needs a bit of stress to get them going... but I'm starting to hate life...

To all my friends, HAPPY NEW YEAR!
MAY YOUR YEAR BE BETTER THEN MINE!!

Never expected that I would cross 2005 with you still with me....
I've lost so much hope, so much trust over the years, it'll take some time for me to restore my faith in this fickle thing called love...
Storm clouds may gather, stars may collide...
but I'll love you.... until the end of time
